Brandon Mailly of Saint Cloud, Florida, has participated in Special Olympics for the past four years in bowling, softball and tennis. He will represent Special Olympics USA in tennis. Special Olympics has offered Brandon the opportunity to play and meet other individuals with intellectual disabilities. At the age of 10, Brandon underwent brain surgery and worked to adapt to life with a seizure disorder. He has seen great improvement through his training with Special Olympics, which he does alongside his father, Jerry, his Unified partner. His father is a huge source of inspiration and advice in Brandon’s life.
He is employed by FHS Property Group LLC, assisting to clean properties in preparation for their sale. Competing in the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023 is a dream come true for Brandon, as he travels to Germany to compete with athletes from all over the world.
