Kashawn Hoffler of New York, New York, has participated in Special Olympics for two years, competing in floor hockey and soccer. He will represent Special Olympics USA in soccer. A high school student at 721M, Alex competes with the City Hawks Unified Training Club soccer team. Participating in Special Olympics has changed Kashawn’s life, giving him more confidence and allowing him the opportunity to meet new people. Competing with his team has made Kashawn more comfortable in communicating with others.
Outside of school and practice, Kashawn likes to dance, spent time with friends and play video games. In preparation for the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023, Kashawn practices regularly with his teammates. He looks forward to traveling to Berlin and competing against the best.
