Chelsea Schultz of Nashua, New Hampshire, has been active in Special Olympics for 21 years and has participated in athletics, basketball, bowling, powerlifting and softball. She will represent Special Olympics USA in powerlifting. Special Olympics New Hampshire’s first female powerlifter, Chelsea won three bronze medals in the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games. She trains at the gym regularly and works with her coach, Sharon Palermo, who first encouraged Chelsea to try powerlifting. Undeniably strong, she holds a black belt in Taekwondo.
She is employed at a Hannaford supermarket, stocking shelves and assisting with customer service. Chelsea enjoys riding her bike, hiking, watching movies and reading. At the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023, she will show the world what it means to be a woman competing in powerlifting.
