George Srour of Indianapolis, Indiana, first got involved with Special Olympics as a Unified partner in 1997 and has been fortunate to serve in a variety of roles ever since. George will represent Special Olympics USA as assistant head of delegation. This will be George’s seventh Special Olympics World Games, focused on the intricate transportation logistics of Special Olympics USA delegation members. George is employed as chief dreamer at Building Tomorrow, a nonprofit organization equipping communities to support universal access to inclusive, quality education. He serves as a board member for two organizations working in East Africa, Kidogo and Lwala Community Alliance. In his spare time, he is working toward the goal of running 10,000 miles in his 30s.
