Kelly Schneider of Bethel, Connecticut, has participated in Special Olympics for the past 17 years, competing in basketball, bowling, cycling, cross country skiing and softball. She will represent Special Olympics USA in bowling. Through Special Olympics, Kelly has become more confident in her abilities and has made great friends along the way. In 2015, Kelly was recognized with an award for her demonstration of sportsmanship from the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference. In 2021, she received the Bud Meyers Award from Special Olympics Connecticut for inspiring her fellow athletes to do their best.
Employed by Memry Corporation, Kelly works as an operations associate, handling various medical device components. A frequent traveler, Kelly enjoys exploring the world with her grandmother. She is proud to return to Germany for her role in the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023.
