Dawn Pacheco of North Oxford, Massachusetts, has been involved with Special Olympics for the past 10 years as a Unified partner in athletics and bowling. She will represent Special Olympics USA as a Unified partner in bowling. Through Special Olympics, Dawn has learned to see the world through the eyes of an individual with intellectual disabilities, teaching her much about her own life. She enjoys watching the athletes interact and have fun with each other.
Dawn is employed at Home Depot and crafts, plays video games and assists her aunt with cleaning the house in her spare time. She most admires her mother, who always made her smile and taught her to love unconditionally. Dawn shares that love with Special Olympics athletes and is proud to represent her country, demonstrating how athletes and Unified partners work together as a team.
