Trent Paradis of Lewiston, Maine, has participated in Special Olympics for 30 years in Alpine skiing, athletics, basketball, bocce, bowling, golf, sailing and soccer. He will represent Special Olympics USA in athletics. Special Olympics is a way for Trent to stay active and to make new friends. One of his greatest inspirations is his former Special Olympics coach Aaron, who continues to be a great friend to him. In 2010, he competed at the Special Olympics USA Games in Nebraska in golf.
Trent attends a day program and cooks, hikes and kayaks in his spare time. Together, he and his father like to golf and ski. As part of his training regimen for the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023, he practices with friends at his day program and is excited to put those skills to the test in competition.
