Jonathan Willis joined Special Olympics North Carolina in 2013. Though he participates in Special Olympics sports year-round, Jonathan is primarily a swimmer and has medaled in multiple events, including the assisted swim during his first Special Olympics North Carolina Summer Games, followed by the 25-meter and 50-meter freestyle. He credits the support of his coaches for his success in the water. Out of the water, Jonathan is a passionate Green Bay Packers fan, and is learning to play the electric guitar. He and his twin sister, Elizabeth, are both endurance athletes, having completed several events with Ainsley’s Angels as a runner. This will be Jonathan’s first trip to World Games and he is very proud to be representing the United States!
