Julio Abad began his Special Olympics journey in high school as a Special Olympics Unified Sports partner. His experience playing Unified soccer gave him the opportunity to play soccer for Edmonds Community College where he has led his team as the captain for the last two years. What Julio loves about Special Olympics is that, "When we are on the field playing soccer together, all of our problems, our stigmas go away. It allows us to to be free and enjoy a sport we love together." Julio is excited about the opportunity to give his best and encourage others around him so that USA can bring home the gold in Unified soccer.
