Jon Darling (JD) is an athletic trainer from Fargo, ND. He is a member of the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 medical team. He and the North Dakota Athletic Trainers' Association have been involved with Special Olympics North Dakota since 2000. Jon has volunteered numerous times for the Special Olympics North Dakota Summer Games held in Fargo. "I have never been involved with Special Olympics outside of the state level so being part of Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 is a great honor. I can't explain how excited I am to be part of the medical staff for Special Olympics USA." Jon has spent the past 18 years working for Sanford Sports Medicine and is the full-time athletic trainer at Fargo North High School. He is an avid cyclist, enjoys mountain bike racing, fishing and of course ice fishing in the winter months. Jon states he enjoys the drive and enthusiasm of each Special Olympics athlete, their families, coaches and everyone involved with Special Olympics. He can't wait to see Special Olympics USA's athletes do their best!
