Casey Dickerson started with Special Olympics by volunteering when she was a teacher's aid her senior year in a life skills class coaching track and field. During college, she volunteered at a Special Olympics Texas swimming event and then started working with the Special Olympics team from the local high school. She is currently working at an adult residential community which participates in at least eight sports a year. Casey has been honored as the Central Texas Coach of the Year and was nominated for the Special Olympics Coach of the Year in 2017. She recently started the sport of stand up paddleboard in the state of Texas.
