Brent Apo-Hruska joined Special Olympics Nebraska in 2002 with the golf program. When he is not playing golf, he is watching the Golf Channel or volunteering at the Golf Course Club house where he lives. Brent enjoys hanging out with his friends at sporting events and movies, and also loves family holiday and camping gatherings. He has always been competitive at golf national invitational tournaments and fared well at 2018 Special Olympics USA Games. "Special Olympics has given me great self esteem by allowing me to show my abilities, not my disability." Brent is ready to take that self-esteem to new heights, setting his sights on gold with his Unified partner, Johnny Moen, at Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019!
