Thomas Miranda is the proud father of two young children. He has been involved with Special Olympics Arizona for 10 years and knows firsthand the tremendous impact Special Olympics sports has on everyone, noting it's power to, "bring people together, builds relationships and create friendships for life." Thomas works as a Recreation Specialist at the City of Peoria in Arizona, where he runs a day program for adults with disabilities. He describes his work, saying, "I help them focus on individual goals and life skills to prepare them for more independence. I am devoted to my family and love coaching and training my daughter who plays football and basketball." When asked about attending World Games, Thomas professes it be "an absolute honor; there is no other way to describe it." He further shares his enthusiasm by stating that he is,"very proud to represent the USA in the sport I love." It doesn't get any better than that!
