Marino Cuen has been involved in Special Olympics for five years, allowing him to play sports with other people who have disabilities and with people who accept him for who he is. It definitely isn't hard as Mario is a self-proclaimed nice person, who is very sociable and loves to talk to everyone! Basketball is his favorite and he says his team is like a family. "We motivate each other, push each other and have fun. I believe hard work pays off and I play basketball for three hours every day." When he's not playing basketball, Marino likes to play video games and work out. "Playing basketball in World Games is the chance of a lifetime, I get to be a part of something big while playing the sport I love," said Marino when asked about his selection to Special Olympics USA.
