Courtney Thompson has been doing Special Olympics competitions since her freshman year in high school. She has competed in bowling, powerlifting, and swimming, but her passion lies with basketball. She has been to the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games in New Jersey, and this will be her first Special Olympics World Games experience. Courtney works part-time and spends her off days hanging out with friends, shopping, and going movies. She is also a big part of her church by teaching 2nd grade Bible class on Sundays. She is looking forward to learning about different cultures, eating different types of food and meeting new people. She can't wait to head to Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019!
