Miranda Mendoza started Special Olympics at the age of 8. She was inspired by her brother, who also attended the program. With the help of her team, Miranda has always aspired to be the best version of herself. As she got into high school, she attended the "Spread the Word to End the Word" Prep really, where she was presented by her Coach Pedro Lopez and Coordinator Dina Kosc to speak briefly about her experience in Special Olympics. Now attending college at NJCU, her goal is not only to get her college degree in psychology, but to be a coach for Special Olympics Unified Sports.
