Jesse Rocha is the parent of a Special Olympics athlete in Texas. Jesse is not only a certified athletics coach with Special Olympics, but also has a lot of experience with track and field from his days of running in high school and college. With his background in track and field, he was quickly drafted into the coaching ranks for his local Special Olympics delegation. It took him out of the stands as a spectator and made him an integral part of his son’s and other athlete’s athletic journey. During his down time, he likes to BBQ, play the guitar, and listen to good live music. Being selected as a coach for Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 is a tremendous honor for Jesse and he looks forward to assisting his Special Olympics USA athletes in doing their best at World Games.
