Calvin “CJ” Massenburg of Capitol Heights, Maryland has been training & competing with Special Olympics Maryland for 19 years. His athleticism was apparent at an early age, and he excelled in track & field as an elementary school student. CJ earned a gold medal in the 100M high performance race at this year’s Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle, as well as a gold medal in the 200M race and a silver medal in the long jump. In addition to track & field, CJ competes in basketball and flag football. He also loves karate, hanging out with friends, and playing with his dog, Alex.
