Brandon "Curly" Baier joined Special Olympics Iowa in 1999 when he was eight years old. He participates in athletics, softball, basketball, bowling, soccer, and volleyball. His favorite Special Olympics memory is winning the 4x100 race at state for the first time. Brandon is known to his teammates as "Lightning McQueen" because of how fast he can run. When he's not working or competing in Special Olympics, Brandon is an Eagle Scout and loves hanging out with his friends and playing Fantasy Football. Brandon competed in Seattle at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, and he's really looking forward to utilizing that experience to bring home the gold in athletics for USA at Special Olympics World Games 2019 Abu Dhabi!
