Hyrum Palmer of Kaysville, Utah, began competing in Special Olympics more than a decade ago and has trained in athletics and snowshoeing. In addition to being an accomplished Special Olympics athlete, Hyrum ran track and field in high school and has completed four full marathons. He looks forward to competing in his first Special Olympics World Games in Italy. To prepare, he's focused on a lot of cross-training, running up to 50 miles a week!
When he's not working one of his three part-time jobs, Hyrum enjoys playing chess and listening to audiobooks. He looks forward to making many new friends from around the world at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
