Gail Andersen of Kalispell, Montana, began competing in Special Olympics nearly 30 years ago and has trained in athletics, bocce, softball and snowshoeing. To further her training, she competes in The Miracle League, an accessible baseball league. The last time she represented Special Olympics USA was in the Special Olympics World Winter Games Alaska 2001, competing in Alpine skiing. Twenty-four years later, she will represent Special Olympics USA in snowshoeing. To prepare for her return, Gail regularly walks, trains in athletics and maintains a healthy diet.

Employed at Smith’s Food and Drug, she works in the bakery department and takes great pride in the cooking skills she has learned. Her family and friends know her as caring, outgoing and helpful. Looking forward to competition in Italy, she is honored to represent her hometown, Montana and her team, the Kalispell Krushers.
