Candi Blessing of Smithsburg, Maryland, started competing in Special Olympics more than 30 years ago. Today, she competes in athletics, basketball, floor hockey and snowshoeing. In 2014, she competed in the Special Olympics USA Games in athletics. Through her involvement with Special Olympics, she has become more social and has made lifelong friends. Representing Special Olympics USA in snowshoeing, she anticipates making friends from all corners of the world.
Candi is employed in the food services division at Meritus Medical Center. Outside of work, she prioritizes walking and taking care of her pet rabbits. But what she loves most is sports and her friends, a combination she will greatly appreciate as a delegate of Special Olympics USA.
