Brianna Puglia of Narragansett, Rhode Island, has been a Special Olympics athlete since 2019, competing in bowling, golf, soccer, snowshoeing and tennis. She is currently going through Special Olympics Rhode Island’s Athlete Leadership University, training to become an athlete spokesperson and give speeches on behalf of the organization.

Special Olympics has become a family affair for Brianna’s parents and sisters, who volunteer and compete as Unified partners. In addition to her Special Olympics accomplishments, Brianna is proud to have graduated from high school, completed a work training program, and gotten a job at a local supermarket. Brianna looks forward to sharing her first World Games experience with her family, friends back home, and fellow Special Olympics USA athletes.
