Annie Mulligan of Madison, Wisconsin, has been involved with Special Olympics for more than 10 years and participates in basketball, bocce, snowshoeing, swimming and tennis. She will compete in snowshoeing at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.

Annie is a part of Badgers for Special Olympics, a Unified group with the University of Wisconsin. She is a Global Messenger and has served as the emcee at her state Program’s Summer Games, along with speaking at other events. Annie earned a gold medal in swimming at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games. Special Olympics has changed Annie’s life and helped her become more outgoing. She loves playing and watching sports, meeting new people and cheering on the Badgers. She works full time at a local hospital.

Annie is staying active to prepare for Italy and is excited to share the experience with athletes from around the world.
