Danny King of Virginia Beach, Virginia, has participated in Special Olympics for more than 10 years in a variety of sports. He will compete in short track speed skating as a part of Special Olympics USA. Special Olympics has given Danny confidence and helped him to be more outgoing. He is proud of his athletic and personal accomplishments, which include driving his own moped, being an Eagle Scout and meeting "Weird Al" Yankovic.
Professionally, Danny works as an emergency room technician and is a certified nurse assistant and phlebotomist. Danny is practicing hard at the rink and modifying his diet in preparation for the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025. He looks forward to meeting new friends and experiencing different cultures.
