Tyler Krochmal of Oakland, California, has been involved with Special Olympics for more than 10 years, including eight years as a staff member for Special Olympics Northern California and Special Olympics Nevada. Tyler served as a volunteer coach for three years in Nevada and interned with Special Olympics Missouri as a college student. His current role is the senior public relations and communications manager for Special Olympics Northern California and Nevada. He will represent Special Olympics USA as additional support staff in marketing and communications.
Tyler started the Athlete Leadership Program for his respective Programs and feels most fulfilled in watching athletes push themselves and succeed in doing so. He is motivated by the many ways Special Olympics impacts the lives of athletes and their families.
He enjoys surfing, swimming, paddleboarding and photography. He also volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters. In attending the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025, he is looking forward to seeing athletes from across the world unite in the spirit of inclusion.
