Stacy Eder of Schenectady, New York, started volunteering with Special Olympics in 1998. For 15 years, she has worked for Special Olympics New York, currently as the senior director of program, engagement and events. For the Special Olympics World Winter Games Austria 2017, she supported Special Olympics USA as a sport manager, a role she will reprise for the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
Stacy thrives in her career with Special Olympics, in being part of something much bigger than herself. Inspired by her mother, Stacy strives to keep going, no matter what, and to help others along the way. For Stacy, representing Special Olympics USA in the Special Olympics World Winter Games is a dream come true.
