Heather Burke of Rockford, Michigan, has worked for Special Olympics Michigan since 2006, currently as the senior director of sports and training. Prior to joining staff, she served as an assistant area director and coach. Supporting Special Olympics USA as the Alpine skiing sport manager, she attended the Special Olympics World Winter Games Austria 2017. Now, in the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025, she will represent Special Olympics USA as a member of the management team. Wherever she goes, Special Olympics feels like family to her.
Her love of sports extends to her hobbies, which include golfing, Alpine skiing and snowmobiling. She looks forward to cheering on Special Olympics athletes in their respective sports as they compete in the Special Olympics World Winter Games.
