Dave Pawlowski of Henrico, Virginia, has been involved with Special Olympics for the past 30 years. In that time, he has learned what the world should look like – united, inclusive and one of mutual respect. Dave is employed by Special Olympics Virginia as vice president of sports, health and fitness. He is experienced in providing quality medical care for athletes and coaches, which he has done in five Special Olympics USA Games and 10 Special Olympics World Games. He will represent Special Olympics USA in a medical staff role. In 2017, he was inducted into the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame and was recognized as the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers’ Association Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer in 2015.
He enjoys exercising, cycling, scuba and providing exemplary sports programming to Special Olympics athletes, this time at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
