Will Smith of Brewster, New York, was introduced to Special Olympics 26 years ago. Today, Will is employed by Special Olympics New York as a program/development specialist. As an athlete, he has competed in a variety of sports, including athletics, basketball, floorball and swimming. He will represent Special Olympics USA in floorball. This will be his third time competing in a Special Olympics World Games.
As an athlete leader, he has served as chairperson of the Hudson Valley Region Athlete Leadership Council and as a liaison for the Special Olympics New York Athlete Leadership Council. He currently serves as an athlete representative on the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games Board of Directors and on the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games Athlete Advisory Council. He is a committed leader, a dedicated athlete and a proud member of the Special Olympics USA delegation.
