Shauna Jackson of Schertz, Texas, became involved with Special Olympics when she was in fifth grade and has since competed in athletics, basketball, bowling and floorball. She will represent Special Olympics USA in floorball at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
Shauna traveled to Orlando, Florida, to compete in the Special Olympics USA Games in 2022 and earned a gold medal in 3x3 basketball. She credits Special Olympics for allowing her to open up, have more self-confidence and make friends.
When not working part-time at Dollar Tree, Shauna enjoys drawing and doing word-search puzzles. She says that it means a lot to be a part of Special Olympics USA and looks forward to visiting another country.
