Louis Jost of Hawthorne, New York, began competing with Special Olympics as soon as he was old enough to do so. Since, he has participated in athletics, basketball, bowling, floorball and softball. His first Special Olympics World Games, Louis will represent Special Olympics USA in floorball. Competing in sports through Special Olympics provides Louis the opportunity to be part of something bigger. Win or lose, he is proud of his team.

Louis graduated magna cum laude from high school, where he holds the school’s longest shot put record. He then competed a two-year life skills program at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. For Louis, family is everything, and he greatly admires his twin brother, Angelo, who volunteers with Special Olympics. To represent his family, his team, his country in the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025 is a dream come true.
