Nancy Bellini of Katonah, New York, has coached Special Olympics for 40 years in sports including athletics, basketball, floorball and volleyball. The impact Special Olympics has had on Nancy’s life is significant. She has become a better coach, a better communicator. This will be her third time representing Special Olympics USA, having coached floorball in the Special Olympics World Winter Games Nagano 2005 and softball in the Special Olympics World Games Shanghai 2007. Coaching alongside her husband, head coach Joe Bellini, Nancy will support the Special Olympics USA Unified floorball team in the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
As the program director and a certified therapeutic recreation specialist for North East Westchester Special Recreation, Nancy serves children and adults with disabilities. Her extensive coaching and professional expertise will be great assets in preparing her team for competition.
