Kaylah Hankins of San Antonio, Texas, has been involved with Special Olympics for 20 years and participates in multiple sports including athletics, basketball, bowling and floorball. She has won 80 Special Olympics medals since she began in elementary school and competed in basketball at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 and the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando, Florida. Kaylah looks forward to bringing home a few more medals as part of the floorball team for Special Olympics USA.
While Kaylah used to be non-verbal, she now enjoys meeting new people and describes herself as hard-working, dependable and enthusiastic. She has worked at Wendy’s for 10 years.
Kaylah is excited to experience different cultures and eat good food at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
