Kaiya Brown of San Antonio, Texas, participates in basketball, floorball and swimming with Special Olympics. After representing Texas in swimming at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando, Florida, she will now compete in floorball for Special Olympics USA.
Although naturally shy, Special Olympics has opened doors for Kaiya to make friends and work on her communication skills with teammates and coaches. She feels most proud when her family tells her that she does a good job.
Kaiya enjoys spending time with her family, being around animals, singing and dancing. She looks forward to traveling internationally and meeting new people from all over the world at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
