Andrew Stawicki of White Plains, New York, started competing in Special Olympics when he was 8 years old. He has participated in basketball, floorball, floor hockey, softball and volleyball. Through Special Olympics, he has met lifelong friends and his girlfriend, Special Olympics USA floorball athlete Samantha Frederick. Andrew will join Samantha, representing Special Olympics USA in floorball. This will be his third time competing with Special Olympics USA in a Special Olympics World Games.
Andrew is currently employed at White Plains City Hall as a mail messenger. To prepare for the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025, Andrew exercises daily. He looks forward to visiting Italy, where his family originated from, to eat authentic Italian food and to compete with his team.
