Brooke Maxwell of Riverton, Utah, has coached Special Olympics DanceSport for the past three years. As the owner of a local dance studio, Brooke created program for dancers with disabilities. To formalize the inclusion of DanceSport as a Special Olympics Utah sport, Brooke worked to develop the rules and competition criteria. She is now employed at Utah Dance Artists, Salt Lake Dance Center and teaches private classes. In the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025, she will serve as head DanceSport coach for Special Olympics USA.
From 1994-95, Brooke held the title of Miss Utah and now serves as the executive director of the Miss Utah Volunteer Pageant. As a Goodwill Ambassador, Brooke has traveled to Japan twice, representing Utah. She is a successful business owner, motivational speaker and mother to six daughters. In her role as head coach, she plans to build strong relationships with Special Olympics USA athletes, preparing them to achieve their goals.
