Tomas Sliva of Indianapolis, Indiana, has been involved with Special Olympics for 22 years, competing in Alpine skiing, athletics, basketball, soccer and swimming. He will represent Special Olympics USA in Alpine skiing. Special Olympics is most important to Tomas because it is how he met his lifelong friends.

Outside of the hospital, he participates in the Barrier Free Theatre, an inclusive theater company for adults with intellectual disabilities. While at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025, Tomas is most looking forward to meeting many new friends from other countries.
