Nick Mills of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has been a Special Olympics athlete for 20 years and has competed in Alpine skiing, athletics, basketball bowling, soccer and volleyball. In addition to sports, he enjoys being on the Special Olympics South Dakota Athlete Leadership Council, serving as a Health Messenger and attending Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics events.
Nick earned his diploma from Southeast Technical College as a software support specialist and has been employed as an administrative assistant for Special Olympics South Dakota for five years. He has traveled extensively with his grandparents, visiting more than 20 states and several countries.
In preparation for the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025, Nick will walk two to three times a week and ski anytime there’s enough snow. He is honored to represent his country at World Games and looks forward to doing his best.
