Mitchell McKinney of Moultrie, Georgia, has been involved with Special Olympics for eight years. He has coached Alpine skiing, basketball, bocce, bowling, golf, flag football, pickleball and soccer. He is also a Unified partner, competing in bocce, bowling and pickleball. He will represent Special Olympics USA as an Alpine skiing coach. In his professional life, he works for the Colquitt County School System as an adapted physical education teacher.
Mitchell enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is active with his church’s camera team and special needs program. When he has free time, he likes to fish, play video games and play sports. He is excited to watch the Special Olympics USA athletes excel on the international stage while at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
