Liza Ambrosini of Queensbury, New York, has trained in Alpine skiing for more than 12 years. In 2025, her hard work will come to fruition as she represents Special Olympics USA in Alpine skiing at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025. She has also competed in two Special Olympics USA Games in tennis. For the past two years, she has served on the Special Olympics New York Athlete Leadership Council and recently trained to become a fitness coach. Becoming confident in her abilities, she is more comfortable to face new challenges.
She is employed at a pizza restaurant, where she works as a prep cook. Through her day program, she is a member of a disability advocacy group. She is proud to represent her country, advocating for Special Olympics athletes everywhere.
