Jason Hais of Cincinnati, Ohio, has competed with his local program for nearly 22 years. He has participated in Alpine skiing, basketball, bowling, golf and soccer. Through Special Olympics, he has made many friends and has learned to excel in competitive sports. He plans to excel in the Special Olympics World Games Turin 2025 as he represents Special Olympics USA in Alpine skiing.
Employed with DHL at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Jason unloads aircraft tugs from overnight arrivals. Working at the airport is part of his exercise regimen, which also includes a training program at the YMCA. A night owl, Jason fishes through the night at Williamstown Lake, where he catches catfish. In the Special Olympics World Winter Games, he looks forward to meeting other athletes and attending the Opening Ceremony.
