Christi Theron of Wilmington, Delaware, began competing with Special Olympics 23 years ago. Since then, she has competed in athletics, basketball, bowling, cross country skiing, cycling, golf, soccer and swimming. She will represent Special Olympics USA in cross country skiing. Special Olympics has given Christi confidence in her abilities and improved her health over the last two decades.
When she isn’t training or competing, Christi does latch hook, creating beautiful pillowcases. She enjoys travelling to new parts of the Unites States, other countries and back to her native South Africa. Proud to represent the United States, Christi looks forward to competing at the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025.
