Chris Knoll of Stillwater, Minnesota, started competing in Special Olympics more than 30 years ago and has trained in Alpine skiing, athletics, basketball, golf and swimming. Today, he continues to have fun, make new friends and improve his health through Special Olympics. His first time competing in a Special Olympics World Games, he will represent Special Olympics USA in Alpine skiing.
Chris takes pride in living on his own and spends his time with friends, playing video games or training at Curio Dance, a performance-based dance school led by professional dancers. Because of his best friend’s recent passing, Chris has found great comfort in continuing to train. He is honored to be chosen for this opportunity, which will showcase his respect for people of all cultures and abilities.
