Bethany Mussell of Bloomington, Minnesota, has competed in Special Olympics for 16 years. She has trained in Alpine skiing, golf and swimming. Through Special Olympics, she has learned to be the best version of herself by meeting people, visiting new places and eating healthier. In 2022, Bethany competed in swimming at the Special Olympics USA Games. Now, her very best self will represent Special Olympics USA in Alpine skiing.
As a certified nursing assistant, Bethany volunteers at Children’s Minnesota in guest services and at Fairview Southdale Hospital in the emergency room. Part-time, she is employed as a receptionist at Kingsley Shores Senior Community. By making healthier food choices, drinking water and exercising daily, she is preparing to represent her country to the best of her ability.
