Ajay Beaudoin of Auburn, Maine, began training in Alpine skiing with Special Olympics in 2016. In the Special Olympics World Winter Games Turin 2025, he will represent Special Olympics USA on the slopes. Special Olympics has changed his life, allowing Ajay to be part of a team. Every weekend, Ajay skis with his race team and attends two races each month during the winter.
Due to a skiing accident, Ajay broke his hip and has been working to strengthen his body through training. He is employed at a family friend’s locksmith business as an apprentice. He is also active with Adaptive Outdoor Education Center, a nonprofit that works to enhance the quality of life for people will disabilities though adaptive recreation and education programs. In the Special Olympics World Winter Games, Ajay is excited to see the techniques of skiers from other countries.
