Justin Grimley is a three sport Special Olympics athlete from Elverson, Penn. He has been involved with Special Olympics for 18 years and is in training for the upcoming event competing for the 2017 World Winter Games in Austria. He competes in bocce, swimming and snowshoeing, the sport for which he’ll be attending the World Winter Games. Grimley is very active and keeps himself busy, according to his mom, Joan Grimley. Justin regularly participates in music, biking, basketball and yard work. Justin also loves to spend time with his yellow lab, Rascal, and enjoys being an uncle. “Justin is very well liked and has lots of friends,” Joan said. Along with training for the Special Olympics, Justin also works at St. Mary’s Chapel every Friday to help keep it clean. Two or three days a week, he also helps his mom out at the town office. Overall, Justin is very excited about getting back into the competition. “He is happy, healthy, outgoing, and energetic. He enjoys structure as well. He’s a great person,” Joan said.
